School programs and tours can be customized to accommodate
the interest level of the visitor. School programs are tailored
around the needs of the individual classroom and the required curricula,
and the park works closely with teachers to assure the student gets
the most out of the activity.
A school program can include an archeology activity
and access to primary and secondary documents pertaining to the
Patapsco Female Institute as well as a tour of the facility. A video
and pre-visitation kit are available for teachers to further enhance
the visit.
The Park also has a working relationship with
other historical sites in Ellicott City, such as the Ellicott City
B&O Railroad Station Museum, the Ellicott City Colored School,
the Firehouse Museum, the Log Cabin and the Visitor Center, and
the Howard County Tourism Council.
See the Historic Ellicott City Consortium's
website for more information (http://www.historicellicottcityconsortium.org/start.shtml).
