Historic Ellicott City Consortium

The Historic Ellicott City Consortium consists of six Howard County owned historic sites, maintained by the Department of Recreation and Parks (DR&P) and operated by non-profit preservation organizations.

The Consortium headquarters is located in the Thomas Isaac Log Cabin on Main Street. Ellicott City is a national and local historic district, founded in 1772. In addition to visiting the six historic sites, a visitor can also shop and dine on Main Street.

Our town has a huge selection of antique shops, a mouth watering selection of restaurants
and cafes (including vegetarian), wine tasting's on weekends, many attractions to choose
from for both adults and the family. During the warmer months be sure to look out for
our bubbleman, dressed up in old fashioned clothes blowing bubbles all over the lower
end of Main Street.
